So I finally have one of the 3 quilts finished. I worked on it all day yesterday and was determined to complete it. It is a lot smaller than I was expecting, but I think it will work as a throw quilt.

I decided to try shadow quilting I believe it's called and although it was not easy with this design I love how the quilting turned out. And I love how the purple backer and the green binding work together.
All the different fabrics that are on the back are from her two sister's quilts. This particular niece was born with a form of spina bifida and has undergone several surgeries to correct. That along with the fact that this quilt is by far perfect, I have decided to call this quilt Perfectly Imperfect.
I think the name fits it well...as you can see that I'm still trying to get a handle on the binding. Although it's not perfect, I'm sure she will love it!
I used one of the tutorials from Kelly at www.myquiltinfatuation.blogspot.com. My next quilt for the last of the 3 sisters is also another tutorial from Kelly. She has helped me a lot with getting my quilting going.

Until next time - happy quilting to everyone!
